Intravenous immune globulin (IVIG) shortage affects large commercial and independent specialty pharmacies across the country

As an independently owned specialty pharmacy, OptionOne collaborates with pharma manufacturers, distribution centers and medical providers to address the widespread intravenous immune globulin (IVIG) shortage.

These national shortages significantly impact patients across the country, including right here in Oklahoma. Patients of OptionOne Pharmacy have trusted us with their specialty pharmacy needs. We’re grateful and honored to serve our patients and are committed to continuing our advocacy and collaborative efforts to ensure we address patient needs throughout the IVIG shortage.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) confirms that the demand for IVIG products has increased over recent years and along with production and distribution issues, an ongoing shortage of IVIG products across the United States will exist through April 2020.

If you are a patient experiencing IVIG access challenges, please contact your health care provider, who is in the best position to assess your medical situation and determine the best course of care for you. OptionOne Pharmacy works in tandem with medical providers to determine the best clinical recommendation to meet the needs of our patients.
